Here in Texas fall is a little late to arrive, but sweaters are finally just around the corner for us and we are excited. I packed a few fun sweaters and jeans and traveled over to my parent’s ranch. Each season I like to add a few new fashion sweaters to my wardrobe. The new year always brings a fun new style or color that I find I just can’t live without. Aside from my fashion sweaters I have some wardrobe staple sweaters I will mention at the end of this post. Yes, with those sweaters, I add some new denim. I just can’t help myself.
This rainbow sweater has a slight sparkle and feels so easy to wear both day and night. Alternate day options would be to style with cute flats or fashion sneakers. Night options with boots or black heels.
Loving the fall colors on this chevron sweater. I would pair these colors and textures with just about any denim. Here I choose these fun new Seven for all Mankind jeans. I look forward to dressing these jeans up for the holidays, but can definitely see myself wearing these everyday as well.
I’ve never been one for yellow, but this marigold has converted me. Paired with these pale lilac skinny jeans from Abercrombie it feels like a fun mix of current colors.
In in addition to my fun and festive sweaters I maintain a drawer of basics to fall back on every year. Left to right.
-J.Crew wool turtle neck that keeps me warm when I travel out of Texas. I add layers both on top of and below this sweater.
-The chunky ivory sweater in the middle is a old classic I wear with brown riding boots or over the knee. You can opt for jeans or a cute skirt with either boot.
-The gray sweater on the right is a light weight cold shoulder from Nordstrom’s BP. I have worn this sweater with jeans and tennis shoes, or heels and leather pants.
-Fitted light weight black turtle neck. This sweater fits nicely and can be worn with jeans or a midi skirt both day or night.
-Brown V neck is by French Connection. Fitted and warm. I wear this when holiday traveling. I usually pair this with jeans and boots.
-Draping black sweater. I have worn this with fashion sneakers or jeans and heels. Another option to dress up or down.
A fun mix of last year’s cargo jacket and this year’s skinny jean. Love incorporating what I have to make something new, fun, and of the moment.
Hope you found some fall inspo! XOXO Lyra
